V&A Process Inc. is a family-owned and operated thermoplastic welding rod manufacturer and supplier located in Lorain, Ohio, USA.

From 5 pounds to 10,000 pounds of custom color matching, profile, or weight of thermoplastic welding rod, our expert staff can help you determine the correct welding rod necessary to do your job right the first time.
  • Thermoplastic Welding Rod Pricing Information
    • Orders over 500 lb. - reduce price $.05/lb and at each 500 lb. increment thereafter up to 3,500 lb.

    Spool cost: 

    • $4.80/each (plastic)
    • $7.00/each (wooden) 

    • Coils other than standard 15 lb. coils will have an additional charge of $1.00/coil.
    • Orders which do not meet full box requirements will be assessed a $1.00 broken box charge. 
    • Dropship charge is $1.00/order.
    • A set-up fee will be imposed on all orders that are not standard diameter, length, material, and/or color.
  • Minimum Thermoplastic Welding Rod Order Quantities
    • Minimum order quantity is 5 lb. per item. 
    • Exceptions - Kynar™ and Halar™ - 1lb minimum.
    • Orders that do not meet full box requirements will be assessed a small handling charge.
  • Shipping and Fulfillment
    • In-stock orders will go out the same day if they are received before 2:00 pm (EST). 
    • In-stock orders requiring UPS next day service can be accommodated until 3:30 pm (EST).  Fed Ex Priority Overnight shipments can be accommodated until 1:00 pm (EST).
    • Standard lead time is approximately 7-10 business days for orders not in stock.  Exceptions would be delays in receiving raw material, large orders, custom color orders and heavy production periods.
  • V&A Process Payment Terms
    • Terms: net 30 days for established customers.
    • Prices are F.O.B. Lorain, Ohio. 
    • We accept all major credit cards.
    • Payment using a credit card is required for new customers before an order can be shipped.  Net 30 terms can also be established after a credit application is received, processed and approved.  
    • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Return Shipment Authorization

    Returned shipments must be authorized before returning and shipped freight paid to

    • All returned orders due to customer error will be subject to a 20% restock charge. 
    • All returned orders meeting our specifications will be subject to a 20% restock charge. 
    • Special orders are NOT returnable.   

Standard Welding Rod Sizes

  • Standard round sizes are: 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" and 1/4".
  • Triangular and oval rods are also available. Please refer to our profile specifications page for details on standard sizes (not available in all materials - see specific material information for availability). 

Custom Orders

  • Custom coil weights, rod lengths, and diameters are available upon request for a small additional fee.
  • Custom colors require a 60 lb. minimum order. A sample of the color is required for an exact color match.
  • Allow approximately 4 weeks lead time for custom color matches.
  • Special orders and custom colors are NOT returnable.    
  • Colors other than our standard colors are available if an exact color match is not required. Call V&A Process for more information.

Standard Welding Rod Packaging Options

Standard packaging methods are as follows:
  • 48" Lengths
  • 15 lb Coils
  • 15 lb- Spools
  • 30 lb Spools - Available in Wood and Styrene Spools
  • For those using extrusion welders, we can provide welding rod on spools. We carry several sizes of spools and can supply one to meet the needs of your application.
  • Our standard spools can hold between 1 lb. to 30 lb. of most thermoplastics, while 30 lb. is the standard amount stocked for inventory. Material is wrapped around a core and looks like a spool of thread.
  • Standard loose coils are 15 lb. each, packaged 2/box. There is no core in the middle of the coil. Other coil sizes are available upon request. 
  • Standard straight length size is 4 ft. Other length sizes are available upon request. Call V&A Process for more information.
